BodiTrak Treadmill sensors have been supporting stroke and vestibular rehabilitation for nearly ten years. They are simple to use, understand and inexpensive compared to more research oriented equipment. Sensors can easily be retrofitted to treadmills that use smooth decks and belts. Or they can be integrated by manufacturers into their treadmill designs. The intent of the design is to provide appropriate technology where its needed, the rehab clinic floor, ensuring patients have access to the tools needed for a successful return to normal life. And critically, that clinicians get the outcome measures they need to guide and complete the patient's rehabilitation.
